The best characters ever.

Today I have decided to simply go out on a limb and name some of my favourite characters of all time. This is no particular order, just as I think of them while typing this.

Wait for it….This will be ….leg…end…dary.

Barney Stinston.

How cool is he? Swarley can pick up anyone, wears awesome suits and has a great job and apartment, but he also has an Imperial Stormtrooper in his living room. As the keeper of the Bro Code and a master strategist, Barney is unmatched, even Charlie Harper does not come close to this.

Dr. Sheldon Cooper

Do I really need to say anything more? Rock, paper, scissors, lizard, Spock!

Dr. Gil Grissom

We miss you, come back, already!

Darth Vader

His sad devotion to the Dark Side under all costs gives a certain kind of distinct nobility to him. He is truly the definition of Lawful Evil (so is Lewis from Full Frontal Nerdity if you read that strip). He has a kick ass patron who gives him the resources to do anything he wants. He hangs with bounty hunters, and the only problem I have with him is that he was replaced in Jedi with Hayden Christensen. I mean, come on, Anakin was a whiny little bum (just like his son), and he became so much more….Seriously, don’t you think that somewhere is a photograph of Vader drinking beer with W and the Superdevil?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

My wife would kill me if I go into details here, so I won’t. (Maybe one, Ass whuppin’ cheerleader!!!!)

Stewie

Whether I refer to the baby on Family Guy or my cat, they are cool. They have so many similarities it is insane. (I just picture my cat saying BLAST! everytime my son chases him on the floor.)

Indiana Jones.

The hat, the whip and the fact that everything seems hard for him. Enough said (Come on, getting in a fridge during a nuclear test! Awesome!)

Dan Fielding

For those old enough to remember Night Court, this guy was the most hilarious letch that ever existed. There was a reason John Larroquette won so many Emmy awards for this character.

I guess I should have said best TV/movie characters, and I haven’t even got to Star Trek yet. There are also comic book and fictional characters….well for another time.
