I'm not surprised Pittsburgh won last night. I am also not surprised that Spezza is still doing those OHL passes to nowhere. The Sens could not get any real offensive momentum going last night. Where has Alfie and Fisher gone to? However, you can't complain about the play of all the new kids. They have grit and heart BUT the Senators just can't match Pittsburgh night after night losing the possession and hit game. Campoli should be short shifted a little more, it seemed that the Crybabies got the puck deep on him everytime.

I used to think I would never hate a face more than Mats Sundin...well it's happening with Crybaby Crosby. I just hope Ottawa can make this series seven games so that the Penguins are beat up against their next opponent. (However, knowing the NHL way of fixing things for Gary's "lovechild" will fix the schedule so they have a couple of days off if that happens (In fact it already is set that way with a potential Game 7 for OTT-PGH two days before the potential game 7 for CHI-NSH.)

Is there any food more tasty and bad for you than poutine? There is "delicious" irony that the International Food Contest people are having a poutine eating contest in Toronto (instead of Montreal where they wanted to have it), and Quebecers are not allowed to participate, because, as usual, the Quebec governement regulations are too strict, and the fee to get government approval is higher than the prize money. Seriously, do Quebecers actually love isolation; they even have regulations not allowing them to play with anybody else (and I say this as a man who owns a little piece of the "Republique").

And another thing...

I want to turn my basement into a place where people want to come over. I just find it difficult to arrange to actually have anybody here because with the exception of myself, everybody has a life, while I only start with 20 of them and am down to my last one (Magic joke, for those that don't know, like the terrorist who meets the 72 virgins in the Family Guy....)

What can I do to fix it? It's gonna take money, a whole lot of spending money, it's gonna take plenty of money..to do it right...but I will do so. I have a table (9 by 5 ping pong), internet and places for computers to be plugged in. Granted I do have to keep some space for the wife and son.

I want to start a regular gaming group that meets more often than the sporadic group I have now, (Don't get me wrong, the I just have to find ways to meet up with people, and of course, decide what game system is being used. I have all 5 versions of D&D, 1st edition MERP, WOTC 2nd Star Wars, and would like to get my hands on Rolemaster, GURPS stuff, but I don't know if any of my local stores carry it. That doesn't mean I wouldn't like to try any other systems, I have played several over the years (I found my original Star Wars West End Games character sheet and my Star Frontiers character not long ago). I also have a 1000 point Vampire Count army that has not been tested yet, and I am about to get to 3500 points in High Elves (Warhammer Fantasy). I still have a whack load of painting to do (my wife calls this playing with toys....I think she's just mad because I get to tell people I do modeling on the side... and, of course, my Buffy fixation*grin*).
