Random thoughts...

Happy Alfie Day everybody!

Yes, Daniel Alfredsson of the Ottawa Senators is getting the recognition he deserves. As the only Senator player remembered for things he did ON the ice, he actually deserves a day in his honour here (unlike Ms. Tweed, when they tried to pull that stunt last summer; come on she's famous for being naked and living with Gene Simmons...on second thought, she should have had a day!) I will bet money that his speech, if he does one, will not be as long as Tie Domi's...(Seriously, remember how much he went on about how much his wife meant to him, and promptly left her after he retired. How much of the speech was a lie?) Just one more point...DON'T GET HURT TONIGHT. Ottawa has this streak of having players get hurt before the playoffs and we have already lost Kovalev.

BASEMENT

My new area is finished, I just have to remove the boxes from unpacking my books...God, I have a lot of books (mostly Star Wars and D&D novels). However, I have found a couple of books that I haven't read in a long time and bear reading again. They are :

1. The Silmarilion (J.R.R. Tolkien)

This book is better everytime I read it, and it truly helps you to understand Lord of the Rings better.

2. Battlestar Galactica (Novelization of first series first show)

As cool as watching the TV movie/show was, this book gets into more detail and vividly details Beltar's shock after his betrayal to his demise much better than on the TV screen.

3. Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina

As my favourite scene of all time, this book gives short stories of all the alien characters that were at the Cantina that fateful day.

MORE USELESS TRIVIA

My son really likes Toupie et Binou.

I really don't know if Drew Carey and company were smart to mix beer and coffee, it tastes like crap and it really makes you want to pee.

My wife left a box of President's Choice Triscuits by the computer, I have to stop eating them.

And to quote Jeff Alberston (Comic Book Guy for those who don't know) "Worst Blog, ever!"
