it seems that something has decided to live in my larynx...I don't recall ever signing a lease.
The Roger Waters show in Ottawa was fantastic. It was everything I could have dreamed of in an arena rock show. (Check out some footage here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Spc3y4DJnc This is the whole rally bit.) I have also been checking out clips from the Genesis concert I had attended in Toronto a few years back, and I am so happy that there are people able to tape parts of these shows and post them on Youtube. It is truly great to be part of the internet generation, especially if you are a TV, movie or music fan.
Only more five days, and Littlecaveman turns two. Where has the time flown? (But again it has been 31 years since the abum the Wall had come out, and it seems like yesterday.)
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Spike was alive again in the Buffy comic, he was better for her than Angel. More of a sympathetic character for sure. In the issue I was reading, it seemed that Buffy can't stop having fantasies about him (even in the comic all that matters is the sex. Seriously, Buffy's definition of having a cold one after work is definitely different than you or I would mean by it.)
I actually am playing some Christmas music right now. Those of you who might actually have read some of my earlier posts would realize that I love Radio Rivendell. That remains. I also enjoy Accuradio for the different types of stations that I can play. I really think that the Internet has been a way to revitalize the medium (of radio). I have always been a fan. TV sometimes just gets in the way.
On a small sadder note, Tom Bosley, the dad from Happy Days, died this week. I used to watch the show as a kid, and I just thought I'd mention it.
I am currently reading 'The Gathering Storm" (Book 12 of the Wheel of Time). I know that it is probably because another writer is involved, but the story is beginning to feel a little rushed to me, much like the ending of book seven of Harry Potter. Not that it isn't interesting, I just need to be able to keep up with what is going on.
The Big Bang Theory continues to be interesting. Now that Howard and Bernadette are back together, and Sheldon has a girl, will Raj be able to get a girl soon? And will Wil Wheaton return? And is everybody on the show that isn't one of the main characters a mortal enemy of Sheldon's? Will they ever meet Mr. Garrison? Mrs. Mattcaveman and I can't decide if the best team name from the show is Perpetual Motion Squad (PMS; they go all night, you know), Army Ants (AA for short) or the Wesley Crushers? (I vote for the last; I think she likes PMS...) Will Captain Sweatpants ever get a line?
I really need to continue D&D research. My Hammer of Moradin/Cleric/Paladin is able to do 5th level spells now. With all the supplements out there, it will be tough to find the right ones (At least the domain spells are easy which of two do you want?)
Just so that I can see how pathetic I really am, here is the list of webcomics I am currently reading: The Order of the Stick, Least I Could Do, Real Life Comics, Dork Tower, Looking for Group, Full Frontal Nerdity, Darth and Droids, Irregular Webcomic and Another Gaming Comic. Nine! And I used to read DM of the Rings, the reprints of Phil Foglio's Dragon strips and Goblins (I stopped this one because I personally was starting to get bored with it. There were some great strips in the beginning.)
Next time, I'll come back with 10 things I love about Star Wars...
