it's his first real geek thing. He is living up to my expectations well. Except for the fact he seems to be glued to the coffee table. Seriously, he bangs his head on that thing more times than David Lee Roth does in the Panama video.
I can't believe the goal England gave up today, cost them two points for sure, hope it's not the difference to making the elimination round.
I hope to be able to spend some time in Korthos in the next little while. I have only got the final dungeon on Korthos Island (the really long one with the white dragon) that I have attempted three times before and failed to do before moving on. Of course, I am playing a wizard, therefore I am lacking in the healing resources department. (Plus those damn splints make it real hard to point my mouse in the right direction. DAMN CTS!) I can grip a paintbrush without pain or tingling in my fingertips now, so I will start to paint again soon. (Still not ready to use a hobby knife steadily yet I think.)
I have been flipping through some old stuff as I have been purging, and have come across some surprises that I did not realize I had. I still have my old medusa from the Original AD&D miniatures that I had tackily started to paint bright purple (with the old Testor Oil Model Paints even...) I got that when I was like ten years old, as well as a goblin and hobgoblin figure that came with. And these figures are lead, so I have to hide them well so that little fingers don't touch them. Finding them has shown me that lately, my whole existence has been about nostalgia, and the past. The old teenage service group. The high school reunion coming up. Lately, it's all been about the past, and here I have a wee one who needs me to think in the present, and for HIS future. I guess turning 39 this year is getting to me. (Plus, lately, I've had a lot of time at home to sort off dwell on these things...)
(Christ, Toupie's tail looks like a coiled turd....)
Anyways, sorry to get all philosophical for a moment, I'm back. Scored 100% on a Batman Begins quiz on Facebook today; of course, having just watched the movie last weekend with Mrs. Mattcaveman (her suggestion, I need to add; we also watched Star Trek and Iron Man.) I am ashamed that I only got 95% on the Marvel/DC quiz; I know better than that.
My apologies, apparently I have now mentioned the hot side hot, cold side cold twice. I forgot the second time I did it.
Off to give the little one a bath, until next time....
