Why won't my son eat dinner?

He eats breakfast, snacks and lunch fine, but supper?

I'm going to talk about more characters I like, and why I like them. Could me books, movies TV, comics, etc....

Q - Omnipotent powers and can be anywhere he wants and do anything he wants (gee, Ma, I think I just defined omnipotent), mixed with a great dose of wit and sarcasm. He rocks!

Howard's mother, Mrs. Wolowitz - An unseen character, she is a great foil to Howard (Mr. Red Lobster!)

Brainiac 5 - The smartest member of the Legion of Super-Heroes and one of Supergirl's boyfriends, and he lives in the 30th Century to boot. Invented the Time bubble, the Legion flight-ring, cured his own insanity, plus he has green skin with blond hair while wearing a purple jumpsuit as a superhero costume (stylin...no need for Queer Eye here); he has it all (including the most original nickname - Brainy!)

(Speaking of the Legion - did anybody out there know that Chemical King was dating Invisible Kid? And that Shrinking Violet had a relationship with Light Lass? Not that there's anything wrong with it...)

Iron Man - all versions, the comic has a different feel than the movies, but they both rock. (And isn't Samuel L. Jackson cool as Nick Fury?) The best period I find in the comic was from about 1981-1984 when Tony was so drunk that Jim Rhodes had to be Iron Man for quite a while. I remember one story when Tony was so hammered that he couldn't remember he had money. (I think this was around when Stane International took over Stark's company).

Gimli - in the books he was an interesting side character, he was a little buffoonish in the movies.

Lenny Briscoe - still the best cop that was ever on Law & Order, always had a line for every situation, plus you get to see his daemons, on occasion. (Side note - according to Wikipedia, Jerry Orbach donated his corneas after he died.)

Barney Gumble - Why I love to drink beer in bars, I am still searching for him. He really does have some of the best lines on the Simpsons ever - remember this form the Mindy episode (The Last Temptation of Homer):

Barney: Maybe it is just an infatuation, I'll bet if you talk to the girl, you'll find you have nothing in common...
Homer: Why Barney, that's so profound. How did you come up with that?
Barney: It's written right here on this cocktail napkin...

Classic.

Beverly Crusher - because she's smart and wears really tight tops.

and last for today....

I really like Aquaman. Family Guy makes him the butt of jokes, but the 70's series really was well written and Aquaman was a very good sympathetic character. Hi son was killed; his wife left him, he lost his throne (do you feel an underwater country song coming on?)... and through it all he still stayed in the Justice League and had a fulfilling life; even though he was allergic to shellfish....(plus Jim Aparo was the artist...enough said.)

Until next time....
