a line from the Genesis song "Land of Confusion" which happens to be playing right now ("and this the world we live in .....") This song was recently covered by Disturbed (the band, not the state of mind I'm in.)
Christ, my wrists are sore, especially the left one, I thought that the CTS braces were supposed to help, and I notice I have less periods with the tingles, but when does the "realignment" happen ("and these are the hands we're given...")
Ah the song has changed ("That's All" same band). I really like tunes, you can always find one to make your day.
I am now in the fourth book of the "Wheel of Time" series - Shadow Rising. I have to admit the first time I read this series, this is the book I had the hardest time putting down. It has been easier to find things here in the Mattcave once I purged a little, I hear that other friends of mine are doing the purge also. I also did a massive clean of the litter boxes and it doesn't smell so bad down here anymore, which is good because apparently Mrs. Mattcaveman wants to have a mini girl geek night here in the 'cave. (Hide the half-naked posters of Cordelia and Buffy! Chicks are coming...grins) No, I don't actually have any posters, my walls still have the insulation showing. Seriously, I have lived here going on four full years now, isn't it time I get around to finishing the basement?
Got to read an excerpt from a potential story about one of my favourite D&D characters from an old campaign. This character was deadly, and funny, (I remember this one time that we heard a very nasty thing behind a curtain and he just stuck his head around and said "Hello!", and got knocked out for his effort. The rest of the party very nearly joined him on the ground.) and I hope to see more of this. The character's miniature was one of the best jobs I had ever seen done by a person not working at Games Workshop (and better than most of theirs, too). For the record, this guy (who shall remain nameless, as always here) is the one who introduced me to the Looking for Group webcomic, as well as the Goblins one. (Senor Vorpal Kick-Asso! - here is a character I should have mentioned in my favourite characters.)
Speaking of GW, I received an email from the mailing list today that they are starting the pre-orders for the 8th Edition. I am not ready yet! I'm still getting used to 7th! Crap. More $$$ out of pocket, I guess (the real reason behind the upgrade.)
I've already began to read rumours of a D&D 5th edition (see http://www.feartheboot.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=8291&start=0). Perhaps they will bring some stuff back...(only three years after the 4th edition...smart! If it's true, way to PO your fanbase, WOTC!)
Anyways, have a great day. Go England!
